1. What does the Full IP67 rating mean for outdoor panel PC installations?
Unlike standard industrial panels that only offer front-bezel IP65 protection, the GKHMI101A has a complete 360-degree IP67-sealed enclosure. Front, sides, back, and cable connection points are totally impervious to dust and protected against water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, removing the need for a bulky, heated/cooled external enclosure.
2. Can the GKHMI151A screen be viewed in direct midday sunlight?
Yes. With an ultra-high brightness rating of 1000 nits (cd/m²) and an optical anti-glare coating, the screen remains sharp and readable in direct sunlight. The integrated ambient light sensor dynamically adjusts brightness to optimize daytime readability and prevent glare during night operations.
3. How is the GKHMI151A powered?
The unit comes standard with isolated built-in PoE (Power over Ethernet), enabling single-cable installation for power and network transmission. It can also be powered using a standard DC 12V power supply, with optional 9–36V wide-voltage configurations available for vehicle and industrial power rails.
4. What operating system does the GKHMI151A run, and how are apps deployed?
The unit runs Android 14 OS. Applications can be deployed through APK sideloading via the watertight USB port, configured using the MicroSD slot, installed via compatible enterprise app stores, or managed remotely through Mobile Device Management (MDM) software.
5. Are customized industrial I/O ports available for OEM orders?
Yes. Geekland provides OEM/ODM customization services. While standard models come with watertight M12 USB 3.0 and RJ45/PoE connectors, custom builds can incorporate RS232, RS485 serial ports, custom GPIO, CAN bus, or alternative mounting fixtures.
6. Where is Geekland located, and how is technical support handled?
Geekland is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Technical support, custom firmware building, hardware configuration, warranty service, and B2B fulfillment are provided directly by US-based industrial computing specialists.
